The second track seems very mechanical and robotic, that commanding synth from on high. It has a clinical feel in places, whether that is just suggestive from the track names, I don't know, but it's not so much a coldness as impartiality. Perhaps that's a sense of being self-assured in what you are doing, whilst retaining a moderation in manner. Quiet confidence. Anyway, track four continues with the same air, so I'm onto something, because the form is different but the feel is the same. The impartiality of a well-skilled surgeon of sound and rhythm, cutting and stitching, repairing at the 'mechanical level', we being the soft machine. Arachnoide aka TLCPX5 takes on a bit of a sinister air and you can imagine giant arachnids invading the world and it sounding like this in the ensuing panic and aftermath of the invasion. There is a sense of the invasive throughout, probing music for probing minds. Lobe Parietal aka TLCPX6 does that probing particularly well, as it throbs while the screwed pins hold your head in place. Boite Cranienne aka TLCPX7 is a saw or drill, it's excrutiatingly good. Plexus Choroide aka TLCPX8 is like coming around from anaesthesia. Slowly, seeping back into the figment of your reality. Cuir Chevelu aka TLCPX9 is a bit more lively, physiotherapy maybe?) Has an intermittent throb which I could equate to acute physical pain, through disuse. TLCPX10 nice and clear, with lovely squiggles of synth that clear the senses like a breath of fresh air. The following track seems to have some very strong connotations to it and a profound depth that transcends my senses. Nice deep rumblings of sound construction, beautifully done. Although Corps Calleux aka TLCPX12 does not sound particularly healthy, the track is an interesting mix of a strong synthetic melody dominating the speakers, having buckets of water thrown over it as it states its deportment. Hypophyse aka TLCPX13 pulsates like a faltering heart and deep sonorous movements enter the fray to calm things down and balance it out. Other sonic elements start to join the throng and build the track up to its ultimate potential. Again has a mechanical feel to it in places, even if it's that soft machine. Lobe Frontal aka TLCPX14, resonates emotionally this time, memories are touched upon and states of frustration and other moods persistently pervade throughout the track. Things level out nicely in the end though, lovely resonances. Moelle Epiniere aka TCLPX15 seems to be hyper-ventilating and panic sets in. Then a larger layer of sound comes into play and mediates the frantic party into a state of somnolence. Lobe Occipital aka TLCPX16 again has that penetrative air to it. I like it but some people might find it too disturbing generally. The final track, Veine Cerebrale aka TLCPX17 catches the main thrust of the piece as its replete with ghostly voices and a sometimes overwhelming sense of otherworldliness. Overall, I think this is a brilliant set of tracks. As an album it's a handful, or should I say earful, but if you've the fortitude for it, I think it is appreciable by some. "
